Meta Pool is delighted to have attended this year’s Buidl Vietnam conference. Although smaller than its Korean counterpart, the event boasts a burgeoning scene and an exceptional atmosphere.
While Korea serves as a hub for blockchain builders, Vietnam primarily thrives on a community of retail investors, with the Near community experiencing significant growth. Given that Vietnam ranks among the top three countries in terms of web traffic to Meta Pool, it was only fitting for us to visit Vietnam and engage with the local communities.
Strengthening ties
Meeting our staking community holds immense significance for us as we aim to listen to their feedback, strengthen our connections, and enhance their overall experience. By actively engaging with our community, we strive to continuously improve our services and ensure their satisfaction remains at the core of our endeavors.
We met with the Near Vietnam Hub, the official NEAR Protocol representatives, who are making significant strides in educating and onboarding new builders within the ecosystem. Their efforts have been commendable, as they actively work towards bringing new talent and projects into the Nearverse.
Near Vietnam Hub will be hosting the upcoming NEAR APAC event, scheduled from 8th to the 12th of September, which promises to be a significant highlight on the calendar for anyone engaged with NEAR in the Asia Pacific region.
Furthermore, during our visit, we had valuable meetings with prominent members of the Near Vietnam and Aurora community, a representative of Creatives DAO as well as with media channel Near Insider, with whom we have been collaborating for some time. These interactions further strengthened our relationships and fostered a sense of synergy within the Near ecosystem.
Staking Challenge
To celebrate Meta Pool’s presence in Vietnam we organized a Staking Challenge meet-up in collaboration with the NEAR Vietnam Community, and NEAR insider. With up to 800 UDS in rewards!
On the morning of Saturday, June 17th, we gathered over coffee to kick-start the day. We introduced Meta Pool, engaging the audience in an interactive Liquid Staking workshop. The session proved to be a delightful blend of education and enjoyment, providing an excellent platform to connect and mingle with the local community.
For those who couldn’t attend the live event, the staking challenge remained open for participation until the following Saturday, June 24th. A total of 45 participants took part in the challenge. To qualify for special rewards, challengers must hold their stake for a minimum of 30 days. On top of that, the three highest stakers will be rewarded with additional special incentives. All rewards are due to be airdropped on July 28th, 2023.
