Meta Yield & Human Guild GameFi Challenge
Early September, Meta Yield partnered with Human Guild to bring 7 amazing GameFi games to Meta Yield!
Our partnership with Human Guild enrolls a total of 7 GameFi projects built on NEAR, into a 3-week long competition.
The competition relies on the engagement of the NEAR community and game fans desiring to influence and make a long-term impact on the NEAR ecosystem: the community is invited to vote for their favorite project.
The project winner of the voting contest will be launching a fundraising campaign on Meta Yield with an initial commitment of 20,000 stNEAR in backing.
Live Pitch Competition during NEARCON 2022
In addition to the online community-based voting process via the Meta Yield platform, we wanted to leverage the presence of the Meta Pool / Meta Yield team in Lisbon for NEARCON 2022 to organize something fun.
With that in mind, we chose to organize an in-person live pitch competition combined with a networking event and obviously some food and drinks.
This was a blast! More than 200 persons signed up for our NEARCON side event and the 7 projects pitched their game in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
The 7 Games in competition are:
- Metamon
- Amber Metaverse
- Poker Space
- Waka
- World of the Abyss (WOTA)
- Zomland
- Land to Empire

In order to make it easier and even more memorable we decided to make the audience vote physically using poker tokens branded as $META, the Meta Pool governance token that is needed to vote for a project via the Meta Vote platform.

The result of this live pitch competition was a tie between Metamon and Waka!

Meta Yield – Mintbase Partnership
This live pitch competition / networking event was a good opportunity to remind everyone of the partnership between Mintbase and Meta Yield.
Early September, Mintbase and Meta Yield announced their partnership to increase and expand the utility of projects’ NFTs.
It will be now possible for such a project to launch a fundraising campaign on Meta Yield and offer NFTs to their financial backers!
