Over the past few weeks, mpDAO has been in operation.
The recipients of mpDAO Grants #5 have been announced, marking a historical high in the number of approvals. These grantees were selected by the community and voted on during November 2023. A total of 5 out of 9 applications were approved, setting an all-time record for the number of applications approved in a single round. Here are the selected projects:
- Kairos Research – Deep Dive Research & Analytics Dashboard | $1500 USD in stNEAR
- Meta Pool Educational Metaverse Building Development Proposal | $450 USD in stNEAR
- Cultural Organizations from Medellin working with Meta Pool | $760 USD in stNEAR
- Dosis Web3 and Meta Pool, a partnership to educate on liquid staking as a financial tool | $750 USD in stNEAR
- Proposal for creating educational content on Meta Pool | $300 USD in stNEAR
More Stake, More Funding for Grants
Meta Pool has witnessed a recent surge in NEAR staking over the past weeks, resulting in an all-time high in staked NEAR. This increase in staking has led to higher fees generated by Meta Pool, allowing mpDAO to expand its grant budget.
We encourage the community to continue participating in Liquid staking with Meta Pool, as it directly contributes to supporting the community. Meta Pool is a decentralized community project, and its success is synonymous with the success of its community and allies.
Transparency Section Now Available
Inside the Meta Pool documentation, a new section has been added containing the complete list of mpDAO grantees, along with detailed reports.

Memorable Mention
We extend our condolences to Jesus Gomero, an active member of the Web 3 Community who passed away in late November. Jesus was one of the candidates for mpDAO Grants #5.
