- Meta Pool has released an SDK/API for liquid staking
- Nightly Wallet is using this liquid staking API to integrate with Meta Pool and stNEAR
- Nightly users will now be able to liquid stake NEAR directly from their wallet
As the cryptoverse expands and projects become entangled across chains, integration between these chains is paramount to adoption and cohesion within the ecosystem. Part of these integrations involve making software accessable. One way Meta Pool is doing that is with the our new liquid staking API/SDK.
Wallets provide a great place for chains to interact across chains because they often hold funds of multiple ecosystems. Nightly, a multi-chain wallet working across NEAR, Solana, and Aptos, will be one of the first wallets to use the Meta Pool Liquid Staking SDK, enabling liquid staking of $NEAR directly from within the Nightly wallet.
This partnership will make it easy for users of the Nightly wallet to participate in liquid staking on Meta Pool and unlock the liquidity of NEAR!
Meta Pool Integrates with Nightly Wallet
Staking is largely touted as the “safe” form of crypto investment. This attracts users to the DeFi ecosystem who are unwilling or unable to hold a high risk investment like crypto.
To capture these potential users, products need to be attractive and user-friendly; especially in the case of staking. Not all of us can be degens – very few of these users would be willing to go through the web of bridges, exchanges and fees required to use some DeFi products. Integrating Meta Pool’s liquid staking directly into Nightly wallet creates an appealing, user-friendly “one-click” platform. Meta Pool is committed to sharing our liquid staking SDK with as many wallets as possible to create an easy to use staking experience on NEAR.
Users of Nightly will now be able to participate in liquid staking and use stNEAR through the Nightly wallet. Meta Pool’s stNEAR token will now be tradeable through the same interface that Nightly users are accustomed to.
By having access to stNEAR through the Nightly wallet, users can unlock the full power of DeFi on NEAR, while using the interfaces they are comfortable with.
Nightly also exposes users of Solana and Aptos to the NEAR ecosystem, opening the door for multi-chain degeneracy all from one wallet. A native mobile App is also on its way!
The Technology Behind Cross Chain Collaboration
Recently, Meta Pool released their new liquid staking API (Application Programming Interface), which makes collaboration between Meta Pool and other DeFi platforms increasingly easy. We recognize the importance of making our project accessible for all projects and users of the NEAR ecosystem.
This is directly in line with our ethos of a community focus – we are committed to building Meta Pool for users of the NEAR network. You can read more about our commitment to community-based building here.
About Meta Pool & stNEAR
Meta Pool is the leading liquid staking solution for $NEAR and wNEAR token holders. With Meta Pool you earn NEAR staking rewards and maintain your liquidity to participate in DeFi protocols on NEAR and Aurora.
Users staking $NEAR and wNEAR with Meta Pool receive in exchange stNEAR (staked NEAR) tokens.
stNEAR simultaneously accrues staking rewards and unlocks users’ liquidity enabling them to participate in DeFi activities (e.g. lending, farming, borrowing) on NEAR and Aurora.

Meta Pool also solves the problems associated with Proof-of-Stake networks staking: illiquidity, immovability and accessibility. Meta Pool also aims to distribute staking in multiple validators to improve censorship-resistance of the NEAR network.
With a TVL of ~9 Million $NEAR and growing, Meta Pool has become in just a few months a cornerstone element of the NEAR ecosystem. Meta Pool is making NEAR Protocol more decentralized and therefore more secure.
In February 2022 Meta Pool has been successfully audited by BlockSec, confirming the implementation of the highest security standards.
